Tell us about EcoCamp
The Eco Camp was amazing. I loved our dome, however we were initially placed in the wrong style of dome, (not a triple loft) which was frustrating as we had to move all of our luggage etc and it was quite late. The food was amazing and the inclusion of wine with dinner, and appetizers/cocktails for the daily meetings was lovely.
Something Else?
We were quite frustrated that we weren't clearly informed that we would be sleeping in tents on the second night at Refugio Paine Grande. We were given the choice at the refugio to upgrade and pay more money to sleep in a MIXED dormitory sleep room which was very unappealing for a number of reasons. Luckily, we brought extra warm clothes and were able to sleep in the tents without being too cold but that was just lucky for us.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Bring warm clothes for night time, especially for sleeping in the tent!! (Warm socks are a must). Bring layers for hiking as it is VERY cold (at least in spring time).
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
