Each hike, or kayak, or horseback ride gave us the chance to experience a beauty unlike any I have ever seen.

Tell us about Explora
The Explora was an amazing experience. Each guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. The excursions exceeded expectations. All of the staff we met were really good at what they did. They made you feel very welcome and relaxed. The room was perfect for us and kept very clean.

It was more beautiful than I had imagined.
Tell us about Chilean Lakes
After leaving the Explora, the Futangue lodge was not quite as organized. Our experience there was very good and I would definitley stay there again. The staff - especially the hotel manager worked so hard to make sure we were well taken care of. Wait staff was friendly, as were the guides. We sometimes had some miscommunication regarding our excursions - length of hikes, and the type of course we'd be on. Our experience at Explora was very well communicated - at Futangue - everything was a bit less clear.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
I am a traveler who likes to know what to expect. I am often anxious when out of my typical environment. Working with SWOOP provided the perfect trip for me. It was all clear and organized and took the stress away so I could really enjoy this magnificent part of the world.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I am so grateful I got to see this part of the world. I had no idea . . .
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
It was fun to meet Carys on Zoom. I didn't have as much input in the planning, but was a happy recipient of the outcome.
