9-Day Torres del Paine CircuitMichael's Trip Date:

What was your most memorable moment?
There were a lot so it's hard to choose. The first viewpoint on day 2 really blew me away. I saw a glacier calve at Perros camp which was unreal. Obviously Lago Grey, French valley, and the towers all made me so grateful to be in the park on this trip.
Which of the following best describes your adventure?
Great holiday
On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend or colleague?
9 out of 10
How was your experience getting to and from Chile/Argentina?
Covid makes it a real pain in the neck. Having to quarantine in Santiago on the way here allowed me to see that city but wasn't ideal. The 24 test requirement to get home also was not great but I brought home tests with me and that was very convenient.
How did it feel to be one of the first travellers to visit Patagonia after the pandemic?
I felt so grateful and honored to be in the park with Pablo when he had not been there in so long. Really special.
Tell us about EcoCamp
Great service. Amazing food. The no garbage is on brand but was definitely inconvenient for what I paid for my dome. But I loved it overall.
Tell us about the Trekking
Pablo aka Brujo was absolutely phenomenal. His love and knowing of the region was one of my favorite things about the trip. He was patient, answered everything, educated us, and jumped to tackle any problems. I can't say enough about how much I appreciated his professionalism.
Tell us about Torres del Paine
It's stunning. So many landscapes and everyday had something to marvel at. We had fantastic weather which didn't hurt either.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Bring home antigen tests for covid. I would suggest training a bit and being active before the trip to get the most out of it. Make sure you have boots you are comfortable with and a good windbreaker. Also bring snacks.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Any kind of beautiful travel experience changes your perspective so yes. The 80+ miles was a challenge for me but I really felt good during most of the trek. I'm so grateful to experience and kearney about this part of the world.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Stay 1 day after trek ends because hoping g on flight after 5 hour drive must have been brutal. Although our group celebrated with a lot if alcohol so that was part of it. Bring pasos because you will want them for Tipping. Also guidance on Tipping might be useful for porters and guide. I had to lend over $600 dollars to cover my group who didn't have enough cash.
How helpful was the information we shared with you, in your Adventure Planner, before your trip? Such as ‘Getting to Patagonia’ and ‘What to wear in Patagonia’. Was there anything missing?
Very helpful. More guidance on the actual 2 bags you have to pack would also help.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Nit anything I have not mentioned.
