Yes
Tell us about Torres del Paine
Excellent trek. Variety- mountains, lakes, glaciers, forests. Do need a reasonable level of fitness, be used to carrying a full sac and do need to know and fully appreciate that the pass day is a long one, not difficult but long. The highlight was the whole thing. Somehow need to get the last day of the O trek better planned. If you don't want to get back to Puerto Natalis at 10;30 pm then you have to get up and start walking at 6:15 in order to get up to see the Torres and back for the 2pm bus, real pressure on the day.
Tell us about the Trekking
Trekking in TP - as above Guide excellent Trekking in Los Lagos- again guides excellent- Marcella and Louis Phillipe. Again people need to have a good level of fitness. One trek was 10 hours. Not difficult but again longer than most people walk
Tell us about Chilean Lakes
We didn't have good weather- either low cloud or raining. So never saw the volcanos and limited views. Good trekking though
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Get in touch with you! As with all mountain trips - the weather can be poor and in Patagonia particularly windy. So be prepared
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I feel I should be writing something profound here, but can't think of anything. However was really impressed by the kindness and willingness to help by Birds Chile - the staff and guides, to go above and beyond. You seldom find that in people in any walk of life
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Keep doing what you are doing!
Would you consider another trip to Patagonia with Swoop?
No
Would you be interested in travelling to Antarctica with Swoop?
No
Would you be interested in travelling to the Arctic with Swoop?
No
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
Can't think of anything please note below - its not that we wouldn't want to go with Swoop again its just that we probably won't be going back to Patagonia. there are other places in the world we would probably want to visit before the poles
