What was your most memorable moment?
So many memorable moments of our Patagonia trip - dramatic crossing of the Pollone river in full flood, reaching the Circo de Los Altares to view Cerro Torre - an amphitheatre of iconic mountains, 30 minute exhibition by 20 Condors for our personal benefit, climbing Mount Madsen in the shadow of the Fitzroy Massif, crossing the Andes by boat and bus retracing the start of Che Guevara's famous motorcycle expedition, relaxing in Valparaiso and a biodynamic vineyard for a few days prior to our return. All our guides were excellent and wonderful company.

Tell us about the Climbing
Juan was excellent throughout leading the Ice Field expedition and our few days climbing. If we were to plan the El Chalten trip again, we would have a rest day on arrival as opposed to starting the expedition the morning after arrival and perhaps one extra day to complete the proposed Mojo Rojon climb.
Tell us about the Mountaineering
Expedition was excellent and Juan was highly professional. His colleagues were also very helpful and encouraging. Yes I would highly recommend the Ice Field expedition if clients want a real challenge with dramatic experiences!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Do it - it really is the end of the world and a unique region which is also enormous. Consequently any trip to Patagonia needs careful planning to ensure that the duration of the trip is consistent with the schedule.

Confirmed my enjoyment of personal physical challenge as a way to really experience the world

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
See previous comments - we felt that the team changed often in the 12 months prior to our trip which may have contributed to a few misunderstandings notably the requirement for us to organise our own internal flights. Obviously we should have been aware but your guidance could have been more explicit.
How prepared and excited for Patagonia did you feel?
Very prepared with the caveat being the lack of a more detailed itinerary incorporating more information regarding the local agency plans
