What was your most memorable moment?
Reaching the base of the towers in Torres del Paine with clear skies and then experiencing snow as soon as we started the descent.

Tell us about Torres del Paine
It was beautiful. The Patagonia weather is unpredictable - we really did experience all seasons in a day + some wild winds - but we got so lucky on our two long hikes with weather. The landscape was so cool and varied - we took so many photos. Our favorite hike was the base of the towers hike. Felt like Patagonia was showing off for us.
Tell us about the Trekking
Our guides at the EcoCamp were awesome. They were so friendly and, even though some of them were newer to the EcoCamp, they weren't new to the environment and knew how to manage different experience levels of the various people hiking with us along the way. Such positive attitudes. Loved getting to know them.
Something Else?
I can't say enough about the EcoCamp and Torres Del Paine. This was our favorite part of the trip. So cool.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
We would recommend the itinerary we followed but would recommend building in time to see El Chalten and the penguins near Punta Arenas. We'd absolutely recommend the EcoCamp. We followed Swoop's packing guide for day hikes too, which truly helped us prepare appropriately for the layers we needed on our hikes.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We hadn't really done group hikes before, but loved the community aspect of the group hikes from the EcoCamp. It has opened us up to considering more community-oriented hiking and traveling in the future.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Thank you for helping us to book everything and for the advice. In particular, it would have been challenging for us to handle a lot of the logistics along the way, including transfers between locations and across the Argentina/Chile border. Swoop made it easy.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
They did a great job!
