The highlight was probably the whale watching and the penguin colony on Peninsula Valdes. The wildlife, landscape, people were amazing as usual! Unfortunately (and this was known to me in advance) the food in Patagonia leaves much to be desired....

It's the second time I've been to Patagonia and I loved it again!

Swoop did a great job managing a last minute plan for me. My only "complaint" was that I made it very, very clear that horseback riding (as much as possible) was a major priority for me. The agent advised me against horseback riding in Puerto Piramides because we "would not have enough time" and that it "wouldn't be worthwhile". Thus we did not have the plan. Our whale watching trip was canceled due to weather (totally understood) but we would EASILY have had time to do both. I wish she had advised us to plan the horseback riding. The area was beautiful and we hiked instead but we would have liked to ride. In addition, we were disappointed by our stay at Punta Delgada. The food was pretty much terrible. The service was lack luster (at best). We were supposed to horseback ride for two of the three days we were there. We asked the minute we arrived and twice a day thereafter. In spanish. We were never given a satisfactory answer. We ended up with just one morning of a quick ride the day that we left. I wish we had chosen to stay in houses nearby with local people instead of Punta Delgado.
