Overall, how was your trip?
This was the trip of a lifetime. We were amazed by the beauty and magnificence of the glaciers and the mountains. The wildlife we saw was incredible, giant woodpeckers, huemuls, caracaras, condors, guanacos, and rheas. We were fortunate to be part of a very interesting and fun group. We all got along beautifully and intend to continue to stay in touch. We hiked in sun, rain, snow and strong winds at times that made the trip magical. Our guide was engaged, caring, knowledgeable, funny and took great care of all of us.
In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?
Patagonia was on our bucket list and it lived up to our greatest expectations.
Would you visit again?
Yes
How was the service that Swoop provided?
I spoke several times with the staff at Swoop. Looking back, the advice I was given was spot on. The pre trip information was comprehensive and appropriate. We felt well prepared for the trip and it was the perfect fit for out family. We have discussed doing the O circuit in the future and would only use Swoop.
How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?
Chile Nativo is a very professional and well run organization. They did everything necessary to insure that we had a successful trek. We felt safe, had a blast and learned a great deal about the flora, fauna, geology, glaciology and history of Patagonia.
How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?
10 out of 10
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
We were very happy that we brought our hiking poles. The clothing that is recommended for the trip was adequate. I think that participants need to be physically fit in order to complete the trek.
