Overall, how was your trip?

Highlight — going across El Paso de las Agachonas while in the middle of a blizzard. We thought we were on another planet. People — INCREDIBLE. My favorite group was the first with Chile Nativo, simply because it was the largest (7 ppl) and every single person was amazing. I still loved the other groups too. Landscapes / wildlife — landscapes were out of this world, with all the glaciers taking the spotlight. Wildlife was pretty good. Friends and family — I let the photos speak for themselves. They told me that it looked legendary. Surprises — Dickson campsite. All the icebergs nearby along with the glacier itself. Very lovely. Magical moment — again at Dickson campsite, by the lake, there was this small bank on the lake with perfectly still water and I caught a photo with the mountain and glacier in the back with PERFECT reflection. Looked like a mirror.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Patagonia has been a wildly good experience, and what I would consider a tier 1 park. Almost everyday was a new “wow” moment and I grew tired of having to whip out my camera because there were so many picture opportunities.

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Swoop has done a fantastic job lining up the perfect treks for me, and I’m super glad to have sought their advice. Highly recommended! The website also clearly shows a lot of the cool treks available out there.

How did you feel about booking directly with our partner(s)?

How was your experience in El Chalten?

Very awesome trek that highlighted the best parts of El Chaltén. Highlight is El Paso de las Agachonas. Juan Pablo did an amazing job being our tour guide and took care of us. El Chaltén has so many paths that are all stunning and the Mountain Escape had all the best views.

How was the Full Circuit in Torres del Paine?

The best of my 3 treks. Chuma with Chile Nativo is hands down the best tour guide I’ve ever had, which includes other parks / countries. The campsites were really nice and it was great having the refugios around to hang out / drink beer during the evenings. They took care of the logistics. Recommendations — don’t charge extra for equipment such as sleeping bags or polls.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

If you can, take extra time to explore Patagonia. It’s a massive place with so much to see, and it takes a while to get from city to city. Also, on long treks, having the right group is critical to making your trip the best it can be!

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

Taylor Carlin and Tom Ludwig did a fantastic job getting me setup for the trip of a lifetime!
