Overall, how was your trip?

Highlights were Torres del Paine, FitzRoy and Moreno Glacier. All landscapes were interesting and mostly spectacular. Without exception all people we met were warm and friendly.

In one sentence, what did you think of Patagonia? Did it live up to your expectations?

Exceeded expectations, great trip, wonderful scenery, friendly people, seamless arrangements.

Would you visit again?

Yes

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Yes pleased with Swoop as this was a new venture for us - previously we have travelled in groups or arranged our own holidays. Itinerary was just what was required. Only improvement would have been a couple of "rest days" so we could catch breath, do washing etc.

How was your experience in Buenos Aires?

Rushed visit, took open bus trip but stuck in grid lock due to demonstration! Had to get out and walk. Hotel very comfortable and well located. Would have really liked more time. All worked well.

How was your experience in the Lake District?

Hotel in Bariloche was superb, best breakfast ever! Arrived overnight by bus from Puerto Madryn, no breakfast but guide insisted on taking us on chairlift for views in rain and sleet.... Transport through Andes to Chile was another highlight, wonderful day , sunny and great views.

How was your experience in El Calafate and El Chalten?

Great hotels. Scenery around Fitzroy brilliant,. Length of treks seemed to vary a lot & we cancelled initial trek as the distance had increased and was excessive.

How was your time in Peninsula Valdes?

Guide was excellent as was our driver. Wildlife especially the whales were brilliant. Hotel was adequate.

How was your experience in Torres del Paine?

This was superb visit - hotel very good. Guide to Torres was very good, we had lovely weather with a clam , sunny day with excellent views. Tours from the hotel seemed very confusing - we had booked ahead but they had no record of this, by chance we went on the trek we wanted, just the two of us. Other days had to be booked when we got there.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?

Yes, expect a lot of travelling! Think about building in some "rest days" without organised activities.
