BBQ'd lamb lunch at Helsingfor's Estancia! Landscape was nice, wildlife was OK. All the people (travelers) we met along the way were cordial and all staff members of every accommodation were engaging and helpful. We have been telling our family and friends what a great job SWOOP did putting our trip together. No surprises which is a good thing! The most magical moment was finishing the whole series of hikes we planned.

I thought it was windy! LOL! I would say, "Yes, it met my expectations."

Yes, and yes! Swoop did a wonderful job throughout the whole planning stage and execution of our trip. The logistics, reliability and accuracy of everything was exemplary! No, everything was perfect the way it was.

The highlight for me, was completing the trifecta of hikes...hiking to Laguna Torre, to Loma del Pliegue and to Laguna de Los Tres. The Perito Moreno Glacier trek was fun, but 1+1/2 hours was enough! Our hotels in Puerto Natales (Indigo), El Calafate (Mirador del Lago) and El Chalten (Chalten Suites) were all nice and we would not hesitate to stay at any of them again. Helsingfors Estancia was also very nice. There was a glitch in planning the number of days we were supposed to spend there. We were originally supposed to stay for 3 nights. Helsingfors confessed that we got bumped by a Backroads Group (since they needed all the rooms and we had 4 of them), who eventually cancelled. We appreciate all you did to remedy the situation even though it was no fault of yours. We had beautiful weather on our last day, so before we left that late afternoon, Helsingfors prepared us BBQ'd lamb, which was the highlight meal of our whole trip! The guides we had at Helsingfors (Everesto and Justina) were nice as was Pedro Crespo, our guide for 3 days in El Chalten. Transport again, was exemplary. Walk Patagonia did a great job coordinating everybody and predicting all of our needs before we even knew what they were.

Getting to the top of the Base of Towers was a highlight for me in Torres del Paine! The lakes, glaciers and granite peaks met my expectations. We encountered the small ostrich (rhea sp?), the huemul, condors and guanaco. The hikes were long (French Valley and Base of the Towers). The excursions were good. The boat trip to the Balmaceda Galcier was nice as was the zodiac trip to the Eco Camp. The Eco Camp fiasco of not offering the French Valley hike during one of the 3 days we were there was only resolved because of SWOOP. We appreciate all you did to remedy the bad situation. I do not recall an over abundance of hikers on the Torres del Paine trails. Our guides from the Eco Camp were very good. The Eco Camp was nice except for the fact that our heater didn't work. I would recommend the Eco Camp to others who did not want to camp or stay in refugios. It was perfect for our needs. One note about the Eco Camp. The recommended tip amounts were outrageous. SWOOP's recommendation was on the low side, but the Eco Camp's was a joke. We also did not like the recommendation to tip each "team" member individually. Transport throughout the whole trip was excellent. Drivers were helpful, courteous and punctual. Vehicles were always clean with sparkling windows in most cases. Protours did a very good job!

Use SWOOP!

We were so impressed with SWOOP putting our trip together that we wondered what other geographical areas you specialize in, just so we could use you again! We have been to Antarctica but would consider going with SWOOP to the Arctic.

Highlight? Casa Sur Palermo was very nice.

We were only in Santiago for a forced overnight, so I can't really answer the feedback questions accurately. The Luciano K was OK, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Transportation was good, drivers were reliable and punctual.
