Tell us about the ice hiking
Ice hiking was fun but we had almost two hours after the hike to sit at the cafe area and have lunch and wait for the boat back. Sort of wasted time and would rather take an earlier boat back.
Tell us about Los Glaciares
There is camping near Poincenot that is unmonitored and seems dangerous. Our campsite though was nice.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Patagonia?
Find local outfitters if you can.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Loved the area and definitely more conscious about waste and mindful of things like the melting glaciers, holes in the ozone, etc.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
The Swoop team needs to pay attention to detail. Our itinerary was not correct and the final was not sent until a week before the trip (even though you all say you'll send a month out). There were incorrect details even then (like "we will pick up your luggage" when the luggage was left at Serac, or "supported camping" when we were at Refugio Condor). Not sure the point of being handed from Sarah who setup the trip off to Nico who did all the corresponding and seemed to know very little about Patagonia itself, as if he's not even based in Chalten or Natales. What are the fees to Swoop and what is their value add?
